After the first school Mass of the academic year, we brought the statue of Our Lady of Grace to the new prayer garden at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Elementary School. The space is dedicated to peace. We know that the only true peace comes from Jesus through the hands of our Blessed Mother. We hope that she will pour out much grace on all who stop and pray there.
Thanks again to the generosity of our Faith Formation Seminar participants, we collected $545 cash and many food supplies and hair products for teen moms and their babies. The $545 cash was spent at Walmart buying lots of breakfast food items to help fill the shelves. We managed to buy even more than usual due to the big sale that is currently going on right now. God bless you all for helping these young moms and their children!
Our Lord Jesus Christ came to offer us salvation. He came to save every dimension of our life; body and soul. There is a tendency in our culture to either absolutize or demonize psychology as a tool (and only that) in the spiritual life. We would like to offer a series of workshops aimed at helping families grow healthy on a spiritual and psychological level. Many problems that we face can be overcome with the right tools and a strong faith in God. St. Clare Catholic Church is pleased to have Sabrina Buzzanca, a practicing Catholic psychotherapist, help us in our common journey towards balanced Catholic living.
