Thank you Fr. Julien Malenfant!
Yet again our community is being called to make a staff change. I am sorry to inform you that Fr. Julien Malenfant is being transferred to St Ann’s Parish in Penetanguishene. Father Julien has been with us for just one year but I am sure you will agree that he has made a very positive mark in our community. He has been a great help with our schools and our youth group and his work with the R.C.I.A. program and much more. We will truly miss Fr. Julien and we would like to invite the community to a Mass of thanksgiving for Fr. Julien on Tuesday June 27 at 7:30 p.m. A reception will follow.
Welcome to our new associate pastor!
Father Antonello Murgia.
Fr. Antonello is 41 years old and was born in Sardinia Italy. He was just ordained this Saturday May 13th by His Eminence Cardinal Collins at St. Michael’s Cathedral. His faith journey was one in which he questioned his faith but at the age of 17 he had a profound encounter which changed his life. He encountered the Neo-catechumenal Way, which brought him closer to the Lord. After graduating with a law degree he worked as a lawyer for a government agency for five years and in 2009 he felt the call to a life in the service of the Gospel. It was then that he was sent to come to Canada and join the Redemptorist Mater Missionary Seminary of Toronto. The rest is history; he is now a priest for our diocese. We look forward to getting to know Fr. Antonello and having him in our community.
